Helping nurses become leaders

Florence Nightingale Foundation uses MBTI® assessment to develop leadership skills

The Florence Nightingale Foundation is a charity based in the UK. Established in 1934 as a legacy to the work of Florence Nightingale, its mission is to support nurses and midwives to improve care and save lives.

Even though many nurses and midwives might not typically see themselves as leaders, the ability to provide influence within complex healthcare organizations—so that patient care continues to improve—is a vital skill.

In this case study with the Foundation, we hear how the MBTI® assessment features in its leadership program—and why MBTI Complete offers the scalability it needs (last year it reached over 16,000 nurses and midwives globally.

“MBTI Complete has been an essential component of our programs,” says Lucy Brown, Director of Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Development, “to enable us to offer online accessible leadership development. It helped us replicate what we were doing face-to-face and it allowed us to have more accessible training for all because not everyone can get to in-person sessions.”
