MBTI® type, attitudes to the environment, and sustainable organizations: A research report explores how the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) model relates to:

• Pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors.
• Climate change skepticism and denial.

The research also considers how people view the pro-environmental credentials of their organizations, and how this relates to personality type and to factors such as job satisfaction and intention to leave.

Headline Findings

• 86% agree that human activity is contributing to climate change.
• 10% agree that there is no climate emergency.
• Women score significantly higher than men on pro-environmental attitude.
• Extraverts were more likely than Introverts to use air travel as part of a vacation.
• ISFP types were most likely to quit if they discovered their organization was significantly contributing to climate change—and ISTP types were least likely.
