This certification option is designed specifically for professionals in education and counseling who want to use the MBTI® assessment for career counseling applications. Offered by our training partner, GS Consultants, it is only available in the US for people in the following professions:

Why choose this option?


Self-paced online learning

Get certified at your own pace and from the comfort of your home or office. Participants have 60 calendar days to complete the online program.


Contextualized training

This program teaches the same core content as other MBTI certification options, but uses specific examples from career development and higher education for a more tailored and effective learning experience.


Feedback from instructors

While the program is online and self-paced, there will be opportunities to interact with your instructor and receive valuable feedback on written assignments and quizzes to ensure mastery of the content.


What’s the program format?


  • A self-paced, online program that provides certification on the MBTI® Step I™ assessment only. Training on the MBTI® Step II™ assessment is available separately as an additional workshop.
  • Includes open-book quizzes and exam, written assignments, and a demonstration of an individual MBTI feedback session.
  • Approximately 45 hours of self-paced learning, with up to 60 calendar days to complete certification after enrollment.

How does it work?


  1. Register for the program with our training partner, GS Consultants.

  2. Complete payment for the program. An invoice will be emailed to you after registration.

  3. Purchase the required participant materials directly from The Myers-Briggs Company.

  4. Complete the online program within 60 calendar days and pass the relevant assignments and exam to become MBTI certified.
