Agreement makes world’s most popular personality assessment simple to leverage across all talent programs within the Halogen solution

Ottawa, ON and Mountain View, CA., July 29, 2013—Halogen Software (TSX: HGN), a leading provider of cloud based talent management solutions, and CPP, Inc., the Myers-Briggs® company, today announced a partnership to integrate CPP’s MBTI®Complete into the Halogen Talent Management Suite™. For the first time, organizations will be able to access their employees’ personality insights through a talent management suite and use this data to improve coaching, communication and collaboration across the organization and within various talent processes.

Studies show that aligning skills, behaviors and personality styles with business strategy is critical to improving organizational performance. Often however, personality assessments are filed away, or provide value to only a limited set of people within the organization because the insight is not broadly shared. Integrating MBTI assessment results into the Halogen Talent Management Suite overcomes this challenge, allowing the personality-based insights to be easily retained and shared among users. Using the insights from these assessments across the organization’s talent programs can help foster improved understanding, communication and productivity.

“MBTI is a well adopted model to assess personality, used widely to help employees understand how to work well together,” said Josh Bersin, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Founder, Bersin by Deloitte. “By embedding the Myers Briggs assessment and type descriptions into talent management software, companies can easily and efficiently help their employees understand how to work better together, build better teams, and create more effective leaders.”

Because all the modules in the Halogen Talent Management Suite are built from the ground up to work together seamlessly, the integration of MBTI assessment insights into the talent lifecycle is particularly powerful and intuitive for the user. Here are some examples of how the integration touch points can support high performance, and enrich collaboration and communication—all within one talent management user experience.

“Like Halogen Software, CPP is focused on helping organizations make better talent decisions and improve the performance of their people,” said Dennis Diligent, Vice President, U.S. Sales and Professional Services, CPP. “The use of assessments within the Halogen solution can help organizations optimize the inherent strengths within their workforce, target development objectives to align with business goals, and engage employees through insightful succession planning—all important factors in developing a high-performing workforce.”

CPP’s MBTI®Complete features the Myers-Briggs assessment and a basic gold standard interpretation all in one package. The Halogen Talent Management Suite is an organically built cloud-based solution that reinforces and drives higher employee performance across all talent programs—whether that is recruiting, performance management, learning and development, succession planning or compensation. And with Halogen’s role-based security, employees and organizations will have the ability to control access to assessment results to meet privacy standards.

“We’re thrilled to deliver this industry first combination to the market with CPP, and to partner with an organization that shares the same customer focus as Halogen,” said Donna Ronayne, VP of Marketing and Business Development, Halogen Software. “This partnership and offering reinforces our unrelenting commitment to help our customers build world class workforces.”
